The Initiative
Overland Ethos isn’t being rushed.
Overland Ethos will combine physical expeditions with a broader mission. It will champion the operators, outfitters, guides, and gear makers who make the overlanding world what it is, and it will carry conservation into the terrain where it matters most, in active partnership with Grounded Ethos.

Areas of Focus
Long-distance, self-supported overlanding journeys across Africa and beyond: focused on discovery, learning, and purposeful travel.
Championing the businesses, operators, outfitters, guides, and gear makers who define the overlanding industry. Showcasing the people and products that make responsible adventure possible.
In active partnership with Grounded Ethos, Overland Ethos expeditions will support wildlife documentation, anti-poaching awareness, and ecological observation in remote terrain.
Evaluating vehicles, recovery equipment, technology, and field systems under operating conditions, in the environments they were designed for.
Publishing expedition reports, photography, lessons learned, and practical guidance for aspiring overlanders. Sharing the knowledge gained from every journey.
Promoting safe, ethical, and environmentally responsible travel practices. Encouraging explorers to respect wildlife, and support local communities.
The Road Ahead
Overland Ethos will launch when the vehicle, the partnerships, and the content platform are ready.
In time, that story may extend beyond the road itself. A small range of Overland Ethos and Grounded Ethos gear and prints, drawn from expeditions, could follow too, as one more way to support the work without needing to be out in the field.
When Overland Ethos launches, it will be ready.
